UNTIL RAIN is a progressive metal band which was formed back in 2004 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The band's music is a mix of many musical elements such as prog, melodic and experimental metal, art rock, electronic music sometimes combined even with extreme metal elements.
Until Rain quickly followed up with the EP "Pandemic", which consists of 4 new songs and 4 bonus tracks (acoustic versions, radio edits etc), giving a taste of Until Rain's next full length release, blended with 2 tracks from the past, sounding heavier than the first album and more mature.
August 2013 saw the Worldwide release of the second full-length album "Anthem to Creation", recorded at Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren in Orebro, Sweden. The album was released through Escape Music. The music and the style went straight forward towards symphonic and progressive-laden grandiose songs. Full throttle and with ripping riffs, that pounded the listener from A to Z.
In 2015-2016 Until Rain performed in Prog Power Europe (Netherlands) and Metal Over Malta (Malta) and they also finished the recordings of their 4th album, called "Inure", which saw a paradigm shift towards a more dark and slower approach towards the music. A new male and as well as a new female singer were incorporated and also the drums had a new man behind them. "Inure" was released in mid 2016 through Sensory Records, and was followed up by a European co-headliner tour, alongside Oddland and Wolverine.
Work was immediately begun, writing the next opus for this constantly working band, and the new and 5th album is ready for release anytime during late 2018 or early 2019. It's showing even more dark and almost introvert musical writing - an album that slowly creeps in under your skin. Listen and delve into darkness...
