Right now working on their second album, this band will within a short time make their stand on the international map of heavy metal, due to their great combination of old school and modern heavy/power metal. |

| BIOGRAPHY |

The Prowlers was founded in Rome during 1996 with the aim to create a musical style that was a mixture between Classic Metal, Power Metal and Progressive Metal.
The Band released their first Demo in 2000 named "A Descent into the Maelstrom" and included the song "Incubus", classified at 7th position in a rating made by the readers of the Italian magazine "Psycho!" between more than 150 underground metal bands! During March 2002 The Prowlers recorded a new 5 Tracks MCD, entitled "Souls Thieves". Thanks to this demo the band found an agreement with the Italian Label Northwind/Steelborn Records and the Debut Album "Souls Thieves" was released in October 2003. A lot of buzz was created in Italy and the media was very positive about the album. In the beginning of 2005 The Prowlers recorded a new Demo CD including 10 new songs. The demo was sent to Intromental management (www.intromental.com), who got hooked on the band and offered them a deal. The Prowlers recorded their second album "Devil's Bridge" in summer 2005, and the mixing took place in the Jailhouse Studios in November under the guiding eyes of Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Pretty Maids, TNT, Beyond Twilight, Jorn etc). In January 2006 the band signed with Locomotive Records (www.locomotiverecords.com) for the June 2006 release of the album in Europe and USA. The Prowlers was offered a spot as official support band for King Diamond on the Scandinavian part of his European tour in 2007. This tour was unfortunately postponed indefinitely, due to illness in the KD camp. In the meantime, the band played a bunch local shows/festivals and worked hard on writing new songs for the third full length album "Re-Evolution", which once again was mixed in Jailhouse Studios in Denmark with Tommy Hansen behind the desk. The album is a huge step forward and shows the band from their best side, with an incredible mix of hard hitting power metal anthems, old school classic heavy metal and a touch of progressiveness. An album, that will appeal to all fans of Iron Maiden and Symphony X. A very succesful European tour together with Circle II Circle and Manticora took place in April/May 2009, and with the coinciding release of "Re-Evolution" taking place worldwide through Pure Steel Records, these Italian guys can not be held down! |
