Formed in Athens, Greece, Mother of Millions blends post-metal dynamics with progressive experimentation, delivering expansive soundscapes, dramatic builds, and emotionally powerful live shows.
The band released their debut album Human in 2014, and further established their sonic identity with Sigma (2017), a conceptual and critically acclaimed record. Their third full-length, Artifacts (2019), was praised as one of the most inspiring prog metal releases of the year, drawing comparisons to artists like Tool, Leprous, and Katatonia.
Tragedy struck in 2019, when the band lost their keyboardist and close friend, Makis Tsamkosoglou, during a live performance. In 2022, they returned with the emotionally charged Orbit EP, a turning point and a heartfelt tribute.
In October 2024, Mother of Millions released their highly anticipated fourth album, Magna Mater, via Swedish label ViciSolum Productions. The album, featured on numerous lists as one of the top progressive releases of 2024, showcases the band at their creative peak, more dynamic, mature, and expansive than ever. A successful European tour followed the release, reaffirming their place among progressive metal's most vital voices.
They have performed extensively across Europe and shared the stage with major acts including Opeth, Leprous, Pain of Salvation, Riverside, and Devin Townsend, captivating audiences with their immersive and emotionally resonant live shows.
