SEVEN WITCHES - DEADLY SINS
- LM 552 - November 2007 That Jack Frost (ex-Savatage, Metalium etc) is one hard working gentleman, and he continues to shred n' roll on the forthcoming Seven Witches release, 'Deadly Sins.' In addition to Frost's impressive six string skills, the album features two other metal giants in their respective fields - ex-Hades/Watchtower vocalist Alan Tecchio (who also appeared on Seven Witches' 'Amped' release), as well as Armored Saint, Fates Warning, Anthrax bassist Joey Vera. 'Deadly Sins' turned out to be one of the trickiest Seven Witches releases to complete - a solid year in the making - due to the fact that it is a concept record (based on the "7 Sins of Mahatma Gandhi"). MELIAH RAGE - DEATH VALLEY DREAM
- LM 498 - November 2007 Boston-based MELIAH RAGE was founded in 1987 under the leadership of Anthony Nichols. Influenced by bands like Bay Area thrashers Metallica, heavy metal groups like Judas Priest and Riot, groundbreaking Boston metal band Steel Assassin and hard rock legends AC/DC, Nichols forged a distinct sound of aggressive, heavy rhythm, searing melodies, and impeccable song structure. In 1995, MELIAH RAGE reunited with Nichols, Koury, and Munro, while drummer Dave Barcos and former Wargasm bassist Bob Mayo were recruited to record "Death Valley Dream". Released on the indie label Backstreet Records, the album was well received, and laid the groundwork for a full re-emergence for MELIAH RAGE - and now it is finally re-released. KRAGENS - INFIGHT
- LM 533 - October 2007 KRAGENS were formed in Nice in the year 2000 (France) by guitarists Cedric (ex-STRUTTERS, THORIUM) and Ludwig. Their first record 'Dying In A Desert' got released in 2004 and the band reached a fixed position in the local music scene. Till today KRAGENS are known as one of the top heavy bands from the french riviera. Very significant for KRAGENS is Renaud's "all-round" voice who reminds us of Bruce Dickinson. The band created powerful melodies mixed with catchy riffs. The sound can be described as a mixture of NEVERMORE, IRON MAIDEN, with a good portion of SOILWORK or IN FLAMES. DAWN OF SOLACE - THE DARKNESS
- LM 271 - October 2007 While writing the third Before The Dawn record 'The Ghost', Tumas Saukkonen created Dawn Of Solace - 'The Darkness'. Some of the material for 'The Ghost' was slower, more melodic and darker than BTD, and Tumas wanted to take that a bit further without any of the limitations that BTD might create. Dawn Of Solace was born not to compete with Before The Dawn but to complete what Tumas needed to say through it's notes and words - his darker side. SPIDER ROCKETS - EVER AFTER
- LM 490 - October 2007 Spider Rockets melds the caustic with the otherworldly to form its own brand of heavy rock-n-roll. With vocals and a persona that runs the gamut from haunting to witchy, bitchy to sweeping and grating to seductive; not exactly Miss America material but very possibly an alter ego for the teen rocker girl from Wisconsin.
